Our first Ireland Genetics auction of 2022 saw a quality line-up, a great range of 200 entries, and a clearance rate of 72%.
Starting with a strong contingent of Limousin entries, Lot 31 saw stylish heifer Esker Hill Princess ET (sired by Sympa) in high demand and sell for €5000. With strong interest for all categories of entries including 1 straw of Wilodge Vantastic which sold for €800 and other notable straws including Sympa sell to €247 per straw.
The Charolais entries also provided a good number of lots entered along with significant bidding activity; Hermes HME created great interest and sold at €510 per straw. With a number of embryos entered, the top price for a Charolais embryo went to Lot 84 – Delphine X Goldengate realising €1000.
Additional notable lots included Belgium Blue Gitan Du P Tit Mayeur selling for €325 and a cracking Hereford Recipient carrying a Dinmore Jupiter embryo (Lot 157) selling for €3,050.
